These days, it feels like Singapore’s weather shifts between two extremes – blistering hot sun or intermittent bouts of drizzling and pouring rain. The brave few who do venture outdoors, are often seen hopping from shade to shade, trying to avoid either the piercing heat, or the cold rain showers.
Nevertheless, here are a few activities you can enjoy rain or shine, without fretting about the temperamental weather on our sunny island:

1. Visit a Museum
There are a wide range of museums in Singapore that offer a medley of experiences everyone can enjoy! Aside from the usual art-focused museums, check out the funky collection of toys at the MINT Museum of Toys, or head down to the ArtScience Museum and immerse yourself in a world of tech and art. If you are looking for something different, you can also visit South East Asia’s first ever natural history museum – the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum, filled with specimens of Asian plants and animals!
2. Go Café-hopping
Singapore is known for delicious street food available at coffee shops and hawker centres. But, our café scene has been gaining a steady following too. You can visit Apiary for a delectable selection of ice cream and waffles– a match made in heaven! Or for a healthy meal fix, drop by Superfudo to indulge in a grain bowl chockful of healthy goodness.
Pro tip: Gryphon’s Botanically Cold Brewed Sparkling Tea is a stellar accompaniment to a scoop of ice cream, or a refreshing beverage with a delicious grain bowl!

3. Visit a Retro Film Theatre
The Projector prides itself as an independent cinema and creative platform that offers films that are not always shown in mainstream film theatres. With a selection of indie, foreign, cult favourites, classics, arthouse, local flicks and more, you will be spoilt for choice with films to enjoy in any weather.
The weather may be hot and humid or wet and dull, but with a Botanically Cold Brewed Sparkling Tea in hand, and a list of activities one can enjoy, we’re sure that the weather won’t bring our spirits down anytime soon!
